Senior Mobile Developer, iOS

Burner is empowering people to take control over their primary channel of communication – the phone number. As Senior Mobile Developer, you will be a key member of a team building the next generation of mobile privacy tools. We are a small and committed engineering team that focuses on delivering a seamless mobile app experience while maintaining strong engineering practice. 

ResponsibilitieS:

  • Architect and design the next generation of the Burner mobile app for iPhone/iPad (Swift/Objective-C)

  • Leverage best practices to rapidly build new features, reduce code complexity, increase unit testing coverage, and improve app performance

  • Work closely with QA team to insure timely issue resolution

  • Collaborate with backend team to define APIs as part of new feature development

Skills + QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years experience developing iOS apps (at least 1 year of Swift). 

  • Experience writing unit tests

  • Experience using git, making pull requests, and completing code reviews

  • Experience using CocoaPods

  • Ability to work with ambiguity and make decisions

  • Plus: Experience working with Mobile Automated testing frameworks such as Calabash or Appium. 

  • Plus: Familiarity with functional programming
